What according to you should be the real worth of this job.. i mean salary and whether it is worth taking up?

Manager / Sr. Manager ¡V Credit and Hedge Fund
Analytics
General Description of the Job
Supervisor¡¦s Position: Assistant Vice President
Duties and Responsibilities
1. ƒnLead, mentor and motivate a team of analysts in preparation of credit research reports/ models on broad database of small/ mid-cap/ large North American/ European companies.
2. Provide guidance to team in conceptualizing research framework/ financial models to cater to the varying research requirements of the clients
3. Guide the team in arriving at a credit view on companies/ individual credit instruments
4. Provision of overall style and content guidance to Analyst team
5. Gain a strong understanding of client business and arrive innovative research ideas to help the decision making process of the client
6. Supervision on overall work flow to ensure smooth delivery and high quality output to client
7. Close monitoring of processes and efficiency ¡V improve turnaround times without compromising on quality of research
8. Regular interaction with Director of Research and Client Analysts for client management, coordination and workflow management, quality control, strategic direction, team expansions, etc.
9. Regular interaction with Knowledge Services and Operations leadership on client issues, process improvements



Required Qualifications
MBAs with a Specialization in Finance / Chartered Accountants.
Experience
MBA in Finance from reputed B-schools /top performing CAs/CFA (CFA Institute, US) with 8-10 years of experience
(This includes 5 years of relevant experience and 3-5 years of other Corporate Finance Experience).

Knowledge
Financial Modeling and Valuation Techniques,
Good Understanding of Latest Financial Market Developments.

Skills
MS ¡V Office skills
Excellent Communication Skills
Leadership Abilities.
Well- versed in advanced Microsoft Excel
Ability to work under pressure
Passion for Numbers
Eye for detail
Strong Analytical Skills
Presentation Skills
Attitude
Team Player
Ability to handle pressure situations
Number crunching abilities.
Information Security Responsibilities
Required to conform to the Information Security Policy,
Responsible for ensuring that data classification guidelines are followed and required controls are provided as
required
Required to ensure their staff are working in a manner consistent with the Information Security Policy,
Responsible for investigating any security issue that members of staff raise in connection with their work,
Responsible for addressing unresolved security issues with the Information Security Officer,
Required to ensure that staff have signed their contract indicating that they understand and will comply with the
required legislation.
Required to report all security incidents
Required to carryout disciplinary procedures as defined by HR

Sounds good to me.. job profile is not only interesting but also challenging.. since it is a middle management position (AVP) therefore, i think it should be atleast Rs. 15-20 lacs. having said that, it all depends on what compnay it is and where do u fit in their heirachy chain.

Just curious if u are recruiting for this or u are the real candidate and if you are a candidate then if you can please share the contact details of the recruiter.

Dude,
its difficult to say whether u shud take it up or not because a lot depends on ur background and what u wnat to do in future... it appears to me that it is some KPO doing this work for some investment bank based in US .. if u want to make a career in this field then go ahead but do evaluate ur exit options.

secondly never evaluate a job on the basis of how much money it can pay. i know it sounds cliche but if u give it ur best and work in the area that insterests u then money will automatically come..
